Purpose of processing of personal data

  • Customer service and marketing for our own purposes
  • Data transfer within our concern results from the close business interrelationship between the company locations in Austria and Germany, as well as from the joint utilization of data in our CRM system.
    Industrie Informatik Austria and Industrie Informatik Germany share an agreement concerning the joint processing of personal data (in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR) in a CRM system. The following is the most significant information: Industrie Informatik Austria and Industrie Informatik Germany inform data subjects in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 GDPR centrally via the head office in Austria. Regarding the rights of data subjects in accordance with Art 15 et seq., as data subject you can contact datenschutz@industrieinformatik.com at any time. The rights of data subjects in accordance with Art 15 et seq. are fulfilled by Industrie Informatik Austria.
  • Processing and keeping personal data of applicants on file if this data has been provided by the person concerned.

Legal basis for processing

  • Contract and business relationships
    Your data are stored as long as a business relationship exists; beyond that, the data of customers and their staff are stored for seven years in Austria and for ten yeurs in Germany in accordance with the legal provisions of the Federal Tax Code.
  • Justified interest in the area of Marketing & Sales
    To maintain and develop our business, we employ data of customers and interested parties for business acquisition regarding our own range of products and services. Such data include automation-supported generated and archived text documents (e.g., correspondence) regarding these matters; such data are of interest for the acquisition of new production enterprises in the industrial field of the DACH region. This not only fulfills our responsibility as an employer; we also make production processes of manufacturing companies more efficient in order to continue to survive on the international market. By promoting topics such as digitalization and Industry 4.0 (the smart factory), and by supporting numerous educational institutions (colleges and universities), we also spur economic growth of the DACH region. Close contact with and regular information from/for our customers and interested parties is very important to us.
    Personal data collected in the area of Marketing & Sales are not transferred to third parties (neither recipients nor categories of recipients) unless such transfer is expressly approved, but we do not provide all the services ourselves, but instead use carefully selected professional contract processors. We intend to save collected data for a duration of seven years if no contractual relationship ensues. We do not employ automated decision-making methods.
  • The retention period for applicants’ personal data is usually the prescribed six months. Potential employees can give their consent to an extension of the storage period in order to be contacted for vacant, suitable positions beyond the time.

Your rights

You have the fundamental rights of information, correction, deletion, restriction, transfer, revocation and objection. If you believe that processing of your data violates privacy laws or your entitlement to data privacy in some other way, you can file a claim with the regulatory authority, e.g., the Austrian Data Protection Authority.

Our website uses counting pixel technology provided by WiredMinds GmbH (www.wiredminds.de) to analyze visitor behavior. In connection with this, the IP address of the visitor is processed. The processing occurs only for the purpose of collecting company based information such as company name, for example. IP addresses of natural persons are excluded from any further processing by means of a whitelist. An IP address is not stored in LeadLab under any circumstances. While processing data, it is our outmost interest to protect the rights of natural persons. Our interest in processing data is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. At no time is it possible to draw conclusions from the collected data on an identifiable person. WiredMinds GmbH uses this information to create anonymized usage profiles of the visit behavior on our website. Data obtained during this process is not used to personally identify visitors of our website.
