Exorbitant energy costs are currently posing major challenges to industry! Temporary production stoppages are already a reality, further supply bottlenecks are on the horizon and there is no end in sight to these worrying developments. But what can industrial companies do to maintain their competitiveness and safeguard their ongoing operations? We show you how you can massively turn the efficiency screw thanks to innovative, digital manufacturing solutions!

The advantages of a digitalised shop floor are widely known. One aspect of this is now coming into focus: energy efficiency! Markus Zalud, CEO of the MES provider Industrie Informatik, knows the explosive nature of the topic from discussions with customers and has already worked out several approaches to solutions with his team: “We took a close look at our software solutions and looked for ways to help our users increase their energy efficiency quickly and easily!”

In addition to an energy management tool developed in-house, which supports the recording, control and analysis of energy consumption in production, the main focus is on the optimal scheduling and alignment of processes.

Detailed production planning plays a central role for Zalud and his team: “With our scheduling board, planners can simulate different production scenarios in advance, compare them, adjust them and thus find the most energy-efficient paths in production. Subsequent evaluations then create even more transparency and renewed optimisation potential for the future!”

Optimised planning also minimises the frequency of set-up processes and regulates circulating stocks, among other things. In turn, the use of in-process quality control (FQS) reduces rejects and thus also has a positive effect on energy consumption. The possibilities are manifold.

We will be happy to show you these and other approaches in person, including at the Hannover Messe in Hall 4 / Stand E54 (VDMA joint stand).

The energy management module integrated in cronetwork supports the planning, recording, control and analysis of energy consumption in production.
